ROTHERHAM UNITED manager Mark Robins is hoping for a Carling Cup fourth-round trip to Old Trafford after his giant-killing side eased past Southampton on Tuesday night.
The Millers reached the last 16 for the first time since the 1983-84 season with a comfortable 3-1 victory over their Championship opponents.

Goals from Nick Fenton, Danny Harrison and Drewe Broughton, did for the Saints, for who Stern John managed a consolation.

The impressive win followed victories over niehgbours Sheffield Wednesday and Wolves earlier in the competition.

And Robins believes his side deserve a glamour tie in the next round – and has pinpointed Manchester United, with whom he spent six years of his playing career, as ideal opponents.

He said: "Hopefully, we will get a big team because the lads deserve it.

"Hopefully we will get Manchester United at Old Trafford and it will be a good day out and we can make a few quid out of it, but we want to go as far as possible."
