It was a good day for Yorkshire's clubs in action on international weekend with wins for Leeds United, Huddersfield Town and Bradford City.
Leeds United bounced back from two consecutive defeats to coast to victory against Brighton at Elland Road.
Jermaine Beckford's second goal of
the game in the 89th minute capped an impressive display by United who had gone ahead in first half stoppage time courtesy of the League One top scorer and Lucciano Becchio.
Elsewhere in League One,
Huddersfield Town coasted to a 3-1 win at Swindon Town.
On loan striker Liam Dickinson passed a late fitness test on his hamstring and pounced for the opening goal on six minutes.
Town doubled their lead after an amazing penalty miss. Simon Cox was the culprit, as Town's goalkeeper Matt Glennon guessed the right way, before Roberts scarpered away and finished with style to make it 2-0 to the visitors.
Michael Flynn hammered in a 25-yarder to make it 3-0 for Ternent's side on 69 minutes, before Craig Easton handed Swindon a late consolation in the 89th minute.
But the comeback of the day belonged to
Bradford City, who won 3-2 at Accrington Stanley in League Two after they trailed 2-0.
Michael Boulding sparked the comeback and substitute Barry Conlon's 88th-minute header put them level before Peter Thorne exchanged passes with Joe Colbeck to make it 3-2 a minute later.
City had trailed to goals from James Ryan and Terry Gornall.
Rotherham United battled to a deserved point after a 0-0 draw at Bournemouth.
York City beat Woking 2-0 thanks to goals from Ben Wilkinson (66) and Daniel McBreen (72) in the Blue Square Premier.
