RUGBY league legend Don Fox died this morning after a long illness. He was 73.
The former Featherstone, Wakefield and Great Britain scrum-half died at Pindersfields Hospital in Wakefield at 4am with his family at his bedside.

Fox will always be remembered for his missed conversion attempt in the famous 1968 Watersplash Challenge Cup final between Wakefield and Leeds.

He was a key member of the all-conquering Wakefield Trinity side of the 1960s, notching 117 appearances in seasons 1965-66 and 1969-70. Fox kicked 84 goals along the way and scored 18 tries.

He leaves a wife Mary, son Gregory, daughter-in-law Tracey and granddaughter Lauren.
