LEEDS Rhinos have suffered a major blow on the eve of tomorrow's engage Super League grand final with the loss off full-back Brent Webb with a back injury.
The New Zealand international withdrew at lunchtime after suffering a recurrence of the injury that forced him to sit out Leeds's Challenge Cup semi-final defeat by St Helens in July.

His place at full-back is expected to be taken by Lee Smith with Ryan Hall starting on the wing.

Webb had suffered a knee injury against St Helens a fortnight ago but that injury had been cleared earlier in the week and Leeds were confident he would be available for Old Trafford.

However, the recurrence of the back injury now means that Webb will not be able to even travel across to Manchester to watch the game and is also a serious doubt for the Kiwis in the World Cup.

Full story and 'Grand Final special' with England coach Tony Smith inside Saturday's Yorkshire Post.
