Yorkshire Three

Bramley Phoenix are fourth after claiming a 20-26 victory at Wath on Dearne.

Bramley's superior handling skills proved decisive. While Wath were strong up front, they made several unforced errors. Phoenix secured victory with a try in the final few minutes from full-back Mick Benn, his second of the afternoon.

Thornensians ran in six tries on their way to a morale-boosting 40-3 victory over rivals Old Modernians at Coulman Road.

Flanker Adam Lloyd scored a hat-trick, and prop Andrew Ellis, No 8 Matt Harker and winger Brett Hunt also scored tries. Tony Chappell kicked two conversions and two penalties to complete the win.

In other action, Baildon secured a 38-26 win over Garforth – only their second league win of the season.
