HALIFAX coach Rhys Morgan remains confident in his side's ability to turn their season around despite losing their opening five games in National Three North.

Rooted to the bottom of the table, the Yorkshire side are tomorrow at home to newly-promoted Loughborough Students who, after making history by becoming the first student-based side to reach the National Leagues, have found life difficult, winning on
ly one game so far.

Last week's spirited performance in a 35-17 home defeat to promotion hopefuls Fylde gave Morgan plenty of reasons to be optimistic that it will only be a matter of time before his revamped side begin to pick up points and climb the table.

"There's no getting away from the fact that it's been a frustrating opening few games for us," said Morgan.

"I certainly think we have built a good enough team to stay in this division so the poor start has been difficult to take.

"We haven't had the rub of the green at times, but I'm sure things will come good for us sooner rather than later."

In National Two, Dan Hart has recovered from a cheekbone injury he picked up in last week's 43-6 defeat at Stourbridge and returns to the Wharfedale wing for the visit of ambitious Birmingham & Solihull.

A knee injury sees Chris Malherbe's place go to teenager Joel Gill. In the pack, Peter Hall is rewarded with a starting place after his impressive debut at Stourbridge.

Harrogate will look to recover from last week's 23-17 home defeat against Nuneaton when they travel to high-flying Fylde in National Three North.

Huddersfield, denied action last week because of a flooded pitch at Kendal, will be keen to maintain their impressive start at this level with a home match against third-placed Caldy, who will have been buoyed by their 16-12 win against Preston Grasshoppers.

After breaking their duck with last week's 20-14 victory at Darlington Mowden Park, Bradford and Bingley will hope to build on that success when they welcome county rivals Hull Ionians to Wagon Lane.
