SHEFFIELD UNITED have joined Hull City in the chase for Plymouth Argyle's £2m-rated winger Peter Halmosi.
Blades manager Kevin Blackwell said: "He is a good player and as such I am always interested in good players. In that regard, then, he would be in a list of good players I would be interested in."

Hull have failed with one offer for the Hungarian
international, who is valued at £2m by Argyle manager Paul Sturrock.

Meanwhile, the first Sheffield derby of the season, at Hillsborough, has been put back nearly 24 hours at Sky Television's request and will kick off at 1.15 on Sunday, October 19.

Hull City's KC Stadium has been chosen to stage the first England Under-21 international fixture of the new season.

The friendly against Slovenia takes place on Tuesday, August 19 and tickets will go on sale on Monday, July 7 at the stadium box office, priced £10 adults and £5 concessions.

England Under-21 manager Stuart Pearce said: "I'm looking forward to playing at Hull. I had a trial with the club when I was 17 and took Manchester City there for pre-season games. The city will be a vibrant place at the moment following their promotion and I'd be very surprised if we didn't get a big crowd."

Leeds United midfielder Neil Kilkenny is set to miss the start of the new season on Olympic duty with his native Australia.

Huddersfield Town will play afternoon reserve games at Emley's Welfare Ground next season in an attempt to reduce pressure on the Galpharm Stadium pitch. Evening kick-offs will be unaffected.
