A YORKSHIRE drainage and waste-management company has signed new and renewed contracts worth more than £200,000 in the first quarter of 2008.
Aberford-based Jet Aire sealed the deals with a range environmental, construction and commercial businesses across the region.

The company has grown significantly over the past two years and turnover is up by more than 20 per cent on 2007.

Cont
racts include working on the Meadowhall shopping complex, in Sheffield, on behalf of Environmental Drainage Solutions to clean their entire drainage system following the flooding last year.

The company is also performing a survey for integrated pollution prevention control at Eggborough Power Station and working for Carlsberg, in Leeds, providing drainage remedial work, including surveying, repairing and renewing drainage across the site.

In 2008, Jet Aire expanded its services by investing in new all-terrain equipment which will allow them to work on sites with no access for traditional vehicles.

The equipment includes a terrajet remote reel and off-road CCTV camera which will allow engineers to access difficult areas for surveys and drain cleaning.

They are one of only a few companies in Yorkshire to provide this service using their own equipment, which is already in constant demand, currently being used on sites across Yorkshire.

Charlie Kirk, managing director, said: "Jet Aire is determined to provide clients with the best possible service by ensuring our engineers work with the most up to date and versatile equipment available.

"The latest four-wheel-drive addition to our fleet allows us to quickly and easily provide surveying and drain-cleaning services whatever the working conditions."
