In the Championship, Sheffield United travel to Charlton, Sheffield Wednesday host Coventry, while in League One Leeds United host Hartlepool.

Premier League
Portsmouth v Hull City

Team news: Andy Dawson is rated as having a 50-50 chance of being fit to face Portsmouth today due to the left back having been troubled by an Achilles injury this week.

Anthony Gardner is also out but brighter news concerns Daniel Cousin with the striker having recovered fully from the foot injury that prevented him joining up with his Gabon team-mates on international duty for Tuesday's draw with Guinea.

Phil Brown: "This one has been a bit of a spanner in the works but it will be the same for Portsmouth. There will be a host of international players coming out of their dressing room (at Fratton Park)."

Championship
Burnley v Doncaster Rovers

Team news: Rovers are boosted by the return to fitness of Gareth Roberts, Adam Lockwood, and James Coppinger but defender Gordon Greer is sidelined with a groin injury.

Midfielder Sean McDaid remains a long term absentee after knee surgery.

Sean O'Driscoll: "Burnley are arguably the form team in the division and are a well-balanced side. They have won back-to-back games in the capital and have suddenly jumped up to be fighting for an automatic promotion place."

Charlton Athletic v Sheffield United

Team news: Striker Darius Henderson is pushing for a return to the Blades side after his recovery from a knee injury.

Danny Webber is also likely to come back in contention after missing last weekend's defeat against Reading with a hamstring problem but defender Ugo Ehiogu is still suspended and Derek Geary is ruled out with a knee problem.

Kevin Blackwell: "Charlton may deserve to be where they are right now - but they still have the ability to get out of that situation."

Preston North End v Barnsley

Team news: The Tykes will be relying on fringe players to maintain their recent improvement in form.

Striker Iain Hume is out for the rest of the season with a fractured skull, defender Darren Moore has been ruled out for a month with a torn groin, and Brazilian midfielder Anderson De Silva is suspended.

Loan signing Simon Whaley is ineligible to play against his parent club and Jamal Campbell-Ryce faces a fitness test after playing for Jamaica in midweek.

Simon Davey: "We have a squad of 18 or 20 players who can all compete and do well in the Championship. We will have to make changes and it is up to the ones that come in to grab that opportunity and stay in the side."

Sheffield Wednesday v Coventry City

Team news: The Owls are without striker Akpo Sodje who has been ruled out for over a month with a torn hamstring.

Winger Wade Small (hamstring) and defender Richard Hinds (broken leg) are also unavailable but the Owls welcome back winger Etienne Esajas after an Achilles strain and midfielder Jimmy Smith who has completed a four game ban.

Defenders Tommy Spurr (dead leg) and Peter Gilbert (Achilles) are doubts and the fitness of winger Jermaine Johnson will be assessed after his return from international duty with Jamaica.

Brian Laws: "Even though we have had good results at home, there is still room for improvement. We are not firing on all cylinders yet."

League One
Leeds United v Hartlepool United

Team news: Gary McAllister has all but Alan Sheehan (hamstring) available for the visit of Hartlepool United with Rui Marques having returned to training this week after injury along with Paul Huntington, the latter having played in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Thorp Arch on Thursday.

The pair are unlikely to feature today but could be in contention for next week's trips to Northampton Town and Histon.

Gary McAllister: "The boys had two days off after Northampton because we have been on the road and travelling a lot. But since Thursday, they have been looking forward to the game."

Brighton & Hove Albion v Huddersfield Town

Team news: Liam Dickinson has returned to Derby County after a three-month loan spell at the Galpharm and it seems likely Burnley's Steve Jones will also not be retained by caretaker manager Gerry Murphy after his month-long stay comes to an end next week.

Jim Goodwin is unavailable due to a one-game ban, while Michael Flynn is a doubt after tweaking his hamstring during the week.

Gerry Murphy: "I went up to watch them (Brighton) at Hartlepool on Tuesday and they are a workmanlike side who do try to play football."

League Two
Rotherham United v Bradford City

Team news: Rotherham goalkeeper Steve Cann is expected to make his Football League debut as a replacement for Andy Warrington who has been ruled out for six weeks with a shoulder injury. Cann is likely to get the nod ahead of loanee Jamie Annerson after manager Mark Robins failed in a bid to sign Bristol City's Chris Weale on loan.

Captain Pablo Mills is expected to play despite struggling with a stomach strain but striker Reuben Reid and midfielder Danny Harrison are both unavailable due to suspension.

Bantams boss Stuart McCall has tried in vain to bring a wideman in on loan so will go with the same players who faced Wycombe last week.

The City manager is, however, likely to be without Paul Heckingbottom after the defender suffered a reoccurrence of a hamstring strain.

Mark Robins: "A good team has not become a bad one overnight. We need to go out there and re-affirm what a good side we are."

Stuart McCall: "I have been to the Don Valley a few times, the most recent being Tuesday's FA Cup defeat to Aldershot. Sheffield United reserves also played a couple of times there one season when I was at the club so I know what to expect."

Blue Square Conference
York City v Crawley Town
Sunday 3.00

Team news: Neil Redfearn will be picking the side to face Crawley on Sunday following the dismissal of manager Colin Walker on Friday.

Crawley were beaten 2-1 by Ebbsfleet United on Thursday night.
