Fast bowler Ben Sanderson and Adam Lyth will make their Championship debuts against on Wednesday as Yorkshire travel to Durham.
Lyth, 20, has been on the fringe of the first XI for a couple of years, making a number of limited-overs appearances, but Sanderson, 19, will be unfamiliar to most supporters.
The Sheffield-born right-arm fast-bowler, though, had match figures of 10-81 for the Second XI against Nottinghamshire last week - a match in which Lyth hit his second century in three Second XI Championship innings.
With Morne Morkel ruled out for the season, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan not yet fit, Ajmal Shahzad sidelined for a month and Matthew Hoggard on England duty, there was a vacancy in the boling attack, and Sanderson has grabbed his chance.
Lyth, from Whitby, comes in for England captain Michael Vaughan.
Yorkshire: Joe Sayers, Adam Lyth, Anthony McGrath, Jacques Rudolph, Andrew Gale, Deon Kruis, Adil Rashid, Gerard Brophy, Tim Bresnan, Darren Gough and Ben Sanderson. 12th man: James Finch
