Sheffield Sharks cemented third place in the BBL table with a 101-77 demolition of Surrey Scorchers.

The Sharks were dominant from the off, Mike Tuck finishing the first half with 17 points – finishing with 22 points – with Jerrold Brooks and TJ Robinson keeping the scoreboard ticking over.

They were over halfway to 100 by half time, leading 57-24, but the Sharks were second best for the opening half of the third period with the visitors scoring 10 unanswered points however the damage was already done.

The Sharks are next in action on Friday in the play-off quarter final first leg.

Leicester Riders were crowned BBL champions after beating back-to-back title winners Newcastle Eagles 84-73 at a sold-out LCS Arena.

Jamell Anderson led the Riders with 18 points, while TrayVonn Wright added a 15-point, 13-rebound double-double against a team who had boasted an identical record heading into Friday night’s showdown.

Elsewhere, Marek Klassen had 34 points in Leeds Force’s 92-77 victory over Manchester Giants.
