Sheffield’s Kell Brook flexed his muscles in front of the cameras in Sheffield on Tuesday afternoon as the countdown to his eagerly-anticipated world title fight continued.
The unbeaten 28-year-old puts his IBF welterweight title on the line on Saturday night against mandatory challenger Jo Jo Dan of Romania at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena.
It is Brook’s first fight since winning the world title against Shawn Porter in California last August, and it will be the first time he has stepped into the ring competitively since he was stabbed in the leg during a night out in Tenerife less than a month later.
Brook declared himself to be mentally and physically stronger than ever yesterday, despite the life threatening injuries.
And as he performed for the media in an open workout at the Ingle’s gym at St Thomas’s in Wincobank on Tuesday afternoon, he looked as good as his word.
