County star ends holders' challenge
Priestley Cup
Yorkshire fast bowler James Lee starred as a batsman as Farsley sent holders Pudsey Congs crashing out of the Priestley Cup.
Lee smashed an unbeaten 74 as he and Robert Thornton (14no) shared an unbroken last-wicket stand of 67 to snatch a one-wicket win.
Lee struck a six and 12 fours as Farsley, who looked down and out at 117-9 in reply to Pudsey Congs' score of 184-9, climbed off the canvas to deliver a stunning knockout blow.
Champions Woodlands are also out. Scotland skipper Gavin Hamilton top scored with 60 as East Bierley made 270-9 before dismissing Woodlands for 231. Left-arm spinner Luke Jarvis took 4-25.
Division One leaders Bradford & Bingley almost joined the list of casualties. They were given a mighty fright by Division Two leaders Bankfoot before emerging as two-run winners.
