Whitwam has Delph in a spin for Golcar

LEADERS Scholes took advantage as Golcar's Steve Whitwam delivered a blow to title-chasing Delph & Dobcross.
Whitwam's nagging slow deliveries earned him a 6-45 return as Delph were shot out for 88 and lost by 91 runs.
Scholes had 95 runs to spare at bottom of the table Clayton West, Iqbal Khan completing his first century of the season and James Noble supporting well with 74. Shane Mott, Scholes' Australian Grade A all-rounder, claimed 5-20 despite a defiant 88 from Kashif Rasheed.
Elland took five points from their home encounter with close rivals Skelmanthorpe, Lee Baxter collecting a half-century, but the game's best all-round performer was Skelmanthorpe's Qaisar Rashid, who made 42 and took four wickets.
Champions Honley made it seven victories in a row after their sluggish start to the season. They won by six wickets at Holmfirth where opener Matthew Wood continued his fine form with an innings of 70.
Tom Denton and Sam Haigh registered half-centuries for Shepley in a 10-wicket hammering of Broad Oak, despite a valiant 60 from losing captain Graeme Hurlbatt.
Australian Marcus Hainsworth made 80 and took 3-36 in Slaithwaite's seven-wicket success at Meltham, and Alex Schoefield went one better with 81 not out for Barkisland, who trounced Micklehurst by nine wickets.
In the Inter-Conference, Ranga Godaje was run out for 90 and took five wickets for Lascelles Hall but they lost their final five wickets for two runs and lost by 16 at home to Hoylandswaine.
Thongsbridge also suffered a spectacular collapse, from 50 without loss to 109 all out, against Almondbury, who won by three wickets.
Louis Aspeling's fourth half-century of the season helped Kirkburton continue their winning run and take another stride towards promotion with an eight-wicket success at Emley.
