Rudy remains a vital part of Neil Redfearn’s squad and will play a major part for Leeds United in the remaining 18 Sky Bet Championship matches and beyond. Busy day all round at the minute on deadline day. Let us know your thoughts on how your team is working today.
12.46pm: Michael Tonge deal from Leeds United to Millwall could yet be a stand-alone transfer, or part of a Martyn Woolford exchange.
12.43pm: An apparent u-turn in the Michael Tonge situation as his move from Leeds United to Milwall could now ‘potentially’ happen. But a no-go to Bradford.
12.36pm: Sky sources reporting that Leeds United’s loan signing of Edgar Cani from Catania is complete.

12.14pm: It emerges that Rudy Austin trained with Leeds United this morning, adding credence to the belief that he is staying put at Elland Road, and not heading for Wigan.
12.09pm: In readiness for his likely arrival at Leeds United, striker Edgar Cani is six-foot-four and 25 years old. His Soccerbase page does not reveal much but he was pretty prolific in two years at Polonia Warsaw between August 2011 and January 2013, from where he joined Catania. Leeds turned down a bid of £500,000 from Wigan last week and it’s no secret that head coach Neil Redfearn wants to keep him. Speaking after Saturday’s win over Huddersfield, Redfearn said: “He’s important to us. He typifies this resurgence with his pace, his power and his competitive edge.”
10.38am: Still no confirmation, or otherwise, about Austin’s move from Leeds to Wigan. But Martyn Woolford’s proposed switch to Elland Road from Millwall now looks unlikely. Millwall have injuries in his position and Leeds seem to have gone cold on the deal.

10.04am: Talk from Hull City that the loan move for Tottenham’s Aaron Lennon is looking doubtful.
10am: Sky are reporting that Leeds United’s Rudy Austin has signed for Wigan. No official confirmation.
9.38am: Remember this is what Leeds United head coach Neil Redfearn said at Thursday’s pre-Huddersfield Town press conference; Redfearn: “Obviously I want to try and keep our better players and for me these are the sort of players that are going to benefit us for years to come.
“We’ve got a young squad and the good seniors we need to keep.
“Rudy has been in the side and, for me, he is not for sale, at all costs.
“We want to try and keep Rudy because you look at your Cooks and your Taylors and your Byrams and your Mowatts and you need your Rudy Austins in there to give them that lift and give them that experience.
“The point of the matter is if we are climbing and we are building then you keep your better players and you add better players to it.
“You don’t let your better players go, simple as.”
9.36am: Matters at Leeds seem to concern striker Edgar Cani who is expected to sign on a half-season loan from Catania. The Whites have also been linked with moves for Millwall winger Martyn Woolford - with Michael Tonge perhaps going the other way - as well as Huddersfield Town forward Joe Lolley.
United’s Rudy Austin continues to be linked with a move to Wigan with Ipswich Town known to have been interested in Billy Sharp.

8.44am: Huddersfield Town’s main concern would appear to be recruiting a new striker with Nahki Wells having left the ground on crutches against Leeds on Saturday.
8.39am: Chesterfield forward Eoin Doyle is the main name linked with a move to Sheffield United. Rotherham United are also thought to be chasing the highly rated 26-year-old.
8.28am: Sheffield Wednesday could be the busiest club in Yorkshire today with the Owls linked with a host of names amidst their takeover. The strongest links are with young Manchester United defender Marnick Vermijl and Carlisle midfielder Kyle Dempsey who Bolton are also thought to be interested in. Leicester City striker Chris Wood has also been linked with the Owls.
8.26am: To matters at Hull City first who have been linked with loan moves for Liverpool’s Rickie Lambert and Tottenham Hotspur’s Aaron Lennon.
