Premier League

Hull City v Chelsea

Team news: Steve Bruce will revert to his first choice XI after making nine changes for the FA Cup win at Middlesbrough. Paul McShane, though, is out for three to four weeks with an ankle injury sustained at the Riverside.

Championship

Blackburn Rovers v Doncaster Rovers

Abdoulaye Meite is in the fray after signing a deal with the club until the rest of the season, while Richie Wellens will return to the starting line-up after missing the Stevenage FA Cup game. James Coppinger and James Husband played in a practice game in midweek and are in contention. Rob Jones and Jamie McCombe are still out, with Theo Robinson sidelined for between six and eight weeks after undergoing knee surgery this week. Billy Paynter and Bongani Khumalo are back training, while Paul Keegan could be return to training next week.

Blackpool v Middlesbrough

Team news: Kei Kamara (knee) and Jason Steele (ankle) remain sidelined. Shay Given will return in goal in place of Dimi Konstantopoulous, while loan recruit Kenneth Omeruo is set to make his debut after arriving from Chelsea. Midfielder Matty Dolan has been recalled from a loan spell at neighbouring Hartlepool.

Charlton Athletic v Barnsley

Team news: Dale Jennings is missing with a heel injury but Ryan McLaughlin is expected to start after joining the Reds on loan from Liverpool this week.

Huddersfield Town v Millwall

Team news: James Vaughan is still out but Town’s top scorer is expected to return to training with the first team next week. Captain Peter Clarke is still out, while new signing Nahki Wells is likely to be introduced to the Terriers faithful.

Sheffield Wednesday v Leeds United

Team news: Goalkeeper Chris Kirkland is set for a recall by Wednesday after missing last week’s FA Cup tie. For Leeds, Cameron Stewart is likely to start along with Jimmy Kebe. Ross McCormack has missed a couple of training sessions this week but will play.

League One

Bradford City v Bristol City

Team news: James Meredith is out with a broken metatarsal bone in his right foot, meaning the full-back is likely to be out longest among those on an injury list that includes Andrew Davies. Matthew Taylor has returned to training this week but is not likely to be included against the Robins.

Notts County v Sheffield United

Team news: Nigel Clough picks from strength for the short trip to Meadow Lane with defender Matt Hill expected to shrug off a back spasm to be in contention for the clash with the Magpies.

Rotherham United v Crewe Alexandra

Team news: Central defenders Craig Morgan and Claude Davis are both suspended. Danny Hylton is still a week away from being in contention.

League Two

Northampton Town v York City

Team news: Russell Penn is in line for his debut after joining from Cheltenham Town on a permanent deal this week. City are still without Ryan Jarvis, the club’s nine-goal striker having been out since the start of the year with a hamstring injury.
