Team news: Yannick Sagbo, sent off in the Europa League on Thursday, is available after serving a two-game ban but James Chester is suspended following his dismissal last Sunday against Stoke City. Michael Dawson is in line for his Tigers debut.
Leeds United v Bolton Wanderers
Team news: Sam Byram serves the second of a three-game ban, while Luke Murphy is also missing after his red card in midweek. Souleymane Doukara is out with an ankle problem along with Gaetano Berardi (concussion), Steve Morison (calf) and Aidy White (ankle). Rodolph Austin is a doubt with a hamstring problem.
Middlesbrough v Reading
Team news: Ryan Fredericks is in the Boro squad after signing on Thursday. Muzzy Carayol, Rhys Williams and Jonathan Woodgate remain sidelined.
Rotherham United v Brentford
Team news: Former Leeds trio Paul Green, Frazer Richardson and Ryan Hall are missing for the Millers.
Sheffield Wednesday v Nottingham Forest
Team news: Young loan striker Hallam Hope, who has joined from Everton until January 1, is in the Owls’ squad.
Watford v Huddersfield Town
Team news: Jack Robinson goes straight into the squad but Nahki Wells, Jonathan Hogg and Tommy Smith are all doubts with niggling injuries. James Vaughan, last season’s top scorer, may start.
Doncaster Rovers v Oldham Athletic
Team news: Harry Forrester is available after suspension, while Rob Jones could be in contention. Richie Wellens may make his first seasonal start against his old club. Curtis Main remains sidelined. Middlesbrough’s Emilio Nuse (back) is struggling, with Ben Gibson unlikely to be risked.
Preston v Sheffield United
Team news: Manager Nigel Clough could recall Jamie Murphy and Michael Higdon, while James Wallace is pushing for his first start. Bob Harris (ankle) is a doubt.
Rochdale v Bradford City
Team news: Aaron Mclean, Jason Kennedy and Gary Liddle are all injury doubts, while both Mason Bennett and Jordan Pickford are clear to return after both were ineligible for the midweek Capital One Cup win over Leeds.
Yeovil Town v Barnsley
Team news: Brad Abbott is set to continue to deputise for James Bailey (hamstring). Ross Turnbull is again likely to be on the bench.
York City v Wycombe Wanderers
Team news: Lindon Meikle has recovered from illness and should start while John McCombe could also come back into contention. Ryan Jarvis has returned to full training. John Carson remains the only long-term absentee.
