Sheffield Wednesday’s FA Cup tie with Charlton was postponed after a waterlogged pitch at Hillsborough.
Bradford’s match at Northampton also fell victim to the heavy rains, meaning a blank weekend for the Bantams.
All matches 3pm Saturday unless stated
FA Cup 5th round
Sheffield United v Nottingham Forest
Team news: Michael Doyle returns from suspension, his three-game ban being a result of a red card against Fulham in the last round. Billy Paynter is out due to having played in the Cup with Doncaster this season, while Mark Howard will continue to be preferred to George Long in goal.
Sheffield Wednesday v Charlton Athletic
Birmingham City v Huddersfield Town
Team news: Town striker James Vaughan has a chance of starting despite limping out of the defeat to Nottingham Forest. Manager Mark Robins has revealed that the top scorer’s knee injury was not as bad as first feared and he could be involved against Lee Clark’s men. Captain Peter Clarke is hoping to make his first appearance since November following a knee injury. Former Town striker Lee Novak and Olly Lee are pushing for recalls by Birmingham after they were dropped to the bench for Tuesday’s narrow 1-0 defeat at Watford in favour of Albert Rusnak and Brian Howard. Fit-again left-back Mitch Hancox did not make the match-day 18 at Vicarage Road having overcome an ankle injury and is again pushing for involvement. Jonathan Spector is closing in on his return but this game comes too soon. Tom Thorpe (ankle), David Murphy, Matt Green and Neal Eardley (all knee) are out.
Doncaster Rovers v Barnsley
Team news: Key duo Billy Sharp and Richie Wellens are both suspended for Rovers, for whom Sam Johnstone will continue in goal with Ross Turnbull (calf) sidelined. Gabby Tamas should feature, despite coming off at half-time at Brighton with a hamstring strain. Harry Forrester has handed Rovers a timely boost after returning to training after an ankle injury. Jamie McCombe (back) is still out, while Rob Jones has suffered a setback in his recovery from a disc problem in his neck. Theo Robinson should return to training next week. Emmanuel Frimpong returns from a one-match ban, but Jacob Mellis remains suspended. Jack Hunt is a slight doubt with a knock sustained in a tackle against Ipswich. Liam Lawrence (toe) should be okay, although Bobby Hassell (calf) is out.
Watford v Middlesbrough
Team news: Jason Steele (ankle) is still out for Boro, who have a doubt regarding Mustapha Carayol (muscle strain). Daniel Ayala (ankle) is sidelined. Ikechi Anya and Samba Diakite are poised to return to contention for Watford. They missed the 1-0 victory over Birmingham with calf injuries, with on-loan midfielder Diakite also missing the game prior to that. Essaid Belkalem (ankle) and Mathias Ranegie (illness) are on way back but this game could come too soon.
Coventry v Bradford City
Rotherham United v Stevenage
Team news: Steve Evans reports a fully-fit squad, although he may elect to give Rob Milsom a little bit more time to boost his fitness in training following a thigh injury. Recent signing Nicky Adams is in contention for his Millers debut. Blair Turgott, on a youth loan, has returned to West Ham.
Plymouth Argyle v York City
Team news: David McGurk could return after missing the last two games with a back strain. The news on Ryan Jarvis, however, is not so positive with an ankle injury expected to keep him out once again.
