Managerless Leeds United returned to winning ways in the Championship while Sheffield Wednesday leapfrogged rivals Huddersfield Town in the fight for promotion from League One.

Only games involving Yorkshire sides Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday, Barnsley and Huddersfield Town survived the winter weather.

United returned with all three points from Bristol City, while the Owls had to come from behind to beat lowly Yeovil and capitalise on Huddersfield’s dropped points in League One.

But it was a bad day for Barnsley who lost 2-1 at Watford.
