Bantams striker James Hanson clinched a late winner and ll three points for Bradford City on the opening day of the season.
Hanson’s last-minute goal settled a five-goal thriller and sent Coventry City home empty-handed from Valley Parade.
The striker had originally given the hosts the lead, heading home Billy Clarke’s cross.
Coventry’s response came from two players familiar to Yorkhire football fans
Former Leeds midfielder Danny Pugh provided the cross and ex-Sheffield Wednesday left-back Reda Johnson - now the visitors’ captain - headed home.
And it was Johnson who equalised once again for Coventry, with two minutes remaining, this time cancelling out Alan Sheehan’s 49th minute penalty.
But Hanson was not to be denied, as he stooped to head home a dramatic winner.
