Huddersfield Town suffered a shock FA Cup first-round exit at League Two Swindon Town but it was success for Rotherham United, Bradford City and Sheffield United.

But nine-man Bradford Park Avenue of the Evo Stick Premier League were crushed 8-1 at fellow non-league minnows AFC Totton.

FC Halifax Town of the Blue Square North play the highest-placed team in the first round, Charlton Athletic, at The Shay on Sunday.

Sheffield Wednesday are also live on television at Morecambe on Sunday.

AFC Totton 8 Bradford Park Avenue 1

Richard Marshall sees red for visitors on 11 minutes, before Jonathan Davies (13), Mike Gosney (29, pen) and Michael Charles (32) put Totton in front. Adam Clayton (30) replied for Bradford. Gosney added a fourth on 52 minutes, before Stefan Brown made it 5-1. Bradford reduced to nine men on 65 minutes when Adam Drury was sent off and Brown netted twice more to complete his hat-trick, before Davies completed the rout.

Barrow 1 Rotherham United 2

Paul Rutherford (16) gave hosts a shock lead, before Lewis Grabban (84, 87 pen) turned the game on its head.

Bradford City 1 Rochdale 0

Substitute Nahki Wells broke Valley Parade stalemate on 82 minutes to complete a shock win.

Sheffield United 3 Oxford United 0

Ched Evans (12, 19) put the Blades in front, before Ryan Flynn added a third in the second half.

Swindon Town 4 Huddersfield Town 1

Huddersfield’s Lee Novak (22) saw his goal matched by Aden Flint (36) for the hosts, who took the lead through Raffaele De Vita (39). Goals from Mehdi Kerrouche and Simon Ferry wrapped up an FA Cup upset.

FC Halifax Town v Charlton Athletic (12.30pm)

Team news: Striker James Dean is still serving a nine game ban for Halifax and striker Lee Gregory faces a late fitness test on a hamstring injury. Scott Mcmanus (groin) is the only other concern. Charlton will be without midfielder Dale Stephens (ankle) and defender Leon Cort who is on international duty. Paul Hayes, Scott Wagstaff, Paul Benson, Mikel Alonso and Gary Doherty could all come in as Addicks manager Chris Powell rotates his squad.

Morecambe v Sheffield Wednesday (3.30pm)

Team news: Sheffield Wednesday are without loan signings Ben Marshall and Stephen Bywater, but Jermaine Johnson and Richard O’Donnell are set to step up. Gary Madine returns from a two-game ban to strengthen the Owls’ attacking options.
