Bradford City lost further ground on the promotion-chasing pack after suffering a 1-0 defeat at home to second-=placed Gillingham.
The result leaves Phil Parkinson’s team in 12th place, six points adrift of the play-off places, although the Bantams do have 17 games remaining.
The only goal of the game came when Cody McDonald raced onto a looping through ball from strike partner Deon Burton before rounding Matt Duke and tapping home into an unguarded goal.
It was harsh on the home side who, until that point, had dominated in terms of possession, particularly in the first half.
James Hanson headed narrowly over from a Kyel Reid cross and Gillingham goalkeeper Stuart Nelson pulled off a brilliant double save to deny Gary Jones and Nakhi Wells.
