Black urges Bantams to express themselves

ASSISTANT manager Kenny Black insists Bradford City will head to Milton Keynes with a clear intent to 'express ourselves'.

The Bantams, buoyed by Saturday’s 1-0 victory at Peterborough United, take on a Dons side who are strongly fancied to earn an instant return to the Championship.

Kieran Agard, a major summer target for Bradford, will lead the hosts’ forward line after his recent arrival but Black believes the Yorkshire club will pose plenty of problems.

“We want to express ourselves at Milton Keynes,” said the City assistant. “There is nothing stopping us doing that. If we can do that we should cause them problems.

“Saturday was important. It is always good to get the first victory as soon as possible, it gives us something to build on.”

James Hanson and Tony McMahon are doubts tonight after suffering knocks in the weekend victory, along with Timothy Dieng and Filipe Morais.

Accrington Stanley, meanwhile, have escaped a League Cup ban after admitting fielding an ineligible player against the Bantams last week.

Janoi Donacien, signed as a free agent, netted in the marathon 11-10 shoot-out that Stanley won to progress. International clearance for the St Lucian, however, had not come through and Stanley have been fined £5,000.
