Parkinson is ready for the Cup heroes
PHIL PARKINSON appreciates that Bradford City are today due to take on League Two’s team of the moment following Crawley Town’s FA Cup heroics against Hull City.
But the Bantams manager is also adamant that his side’s five-game unbeaten run at Valley Parade will be on the minds of the visitors.
City’s upturn in form on home soil began with a battling draw against Plymouth Argyle that was followed with comprehensive victories over Crewe Alexandra and Shrewsbury Town.
Parkinson’s side were also on course to claim maximum points against both Morecambe and Burton Albion last month only to concede late on.
Parkinson said: “Crawley are a good side, though it is probably a bonus that Matt Tubbs has been sold (to Bournemouth for £800,000). We know what they are all about and we will have to deal with that.
“But I am sure Crawley will be worried about us as well as we have been playing well in recent weeks.”
