BEAMING Bradford City chief Stuart McCall saluted his players after securing back-to-back league wins.

After letting their 3-0 lead slip at Walsall, the brilliant Bantams have registered successive 3-1 victories, firstly against Bristol Rovers last Saturday, and now at the expense of Peterborough United at London Road.

The job was done by half-time at Posh with goals from Dom Poleon, Romain Vincelot and Matt Kilgallon – with Peterborough netting a second-half consolation through Jack Baldwin.

Both sides finished with ten as Anthony Grant and Adam Chicksen were sent off for separate incidents late on.

McCall said: “The lads are performing at the moment.

“We’ve got momentum and belief building.

“This result gives the group terrific belief.

“To score three against a team who don’t concede many, we’re delighted.

“They’re a better side than they were last year, but the times we had to defend we did so brilliantly.”

It took just seven minutes to break the deadlock at London Road as Poleon pounced after Jonathan Bond spilled Chicksen’s cross.

Down the other end Nicky Law kept the visitors’ slender lead with a goal-line clearance to deny Ryan Tafazolli.

Captain Vincelot doubled the advantage with a superb diving header from Tony McMahon’s corner in the 36th minute.

And four minutes later, much-travelled defender Kilgallon headed home his first for the club.

After the restart Kilgallon flung himself in the way of Junior Morias’ well-struck volley to preserve the advantage.

Just after the hour Colin Doyle made a great save to tip Marcus Maddison’s effort over.

With 20 minutes remaining Peterborough captain Baldwin pulled one back with a well-taken finish.

Grant was given his marching orders for a deliberate handball a minute from time, before Chicksen received his second yellow.
