STEVE Bruce is convinced he can achieve promotion from the npower Championship with Hull ahead of tomorrow’s clash at Millwall.
The Tigers will attempt to move level on points with second-placed Leicester, who yesterday gave themselves breathing room in the promotion spots with a 2-1 win at Wolves.
Bruce has added winger Ahmed Elmohamady from Sunderland until the end of the season, while moves for Al Ahly striker Gedo and defender Ahmed Fathi were also completed.
Bruce believes the signings, coupled with his efforts to keep his star performers, will lift Hull.
“We’ve kept a very good side intact and we’ve added to it by bringing in two experienced internationals. I’m sure Gedo and Fathi will be terrific acquisitions for us,” he said.
“The squad we’ve got here has given us a great chance of promotion and there’s no reason why that can’t continue.”
Rob Hulse is set to make his full debut for the ninth-placed Lions as they look to close the gaps on the play-off positions following a meek defeat at struggling Barnsley in midweek.
Millwall are level on points with Leeds, who welcome runaway league leaders Cardiff to Elland Road tomorrow.
