The Tigers head to the Emirates Stadium looking to build on a start under the Portuguese that has yielded seven points from four games.

It is a haul that has breathed fresh life into City’s battle to stay up, though those hopes will be put to the test by an Arsenal side determined to kick-start their own season after a couple of disappointing results.

After heading to north London, Hull have home games against Burnley and Swansea either side of the March 4 trip to Leicester City but Silva insists no-one can afford to look that far ahead.

“The most important (fixture) is always the next one,” he said. “The next is Arsenal. That is all that is in our mind. We don’t talk nothing about Burnley or the games after that.”

Michael Dawson (calf) and Abel Hernandez (hamstring) are set to miss the trip to north London. The duo could be out for up to four weeks.
