Hull City

Jakupovic 7

No chance with goal and was in right place to keep out first half efforts from Snodgrass and Lanzini, plus a bullet header from Carroll after the restart.

Maguire 7

Typically battling performance from a defender who again gave his all. When Carroll drifted his way, Maguire did struggle but he kept going.

Ranocchia 8

Timely first goal in English football capped an excellent effort by the Italian. Has adapted quickly to the Premier League.

Davies 5

Caught out for Hammers’ goal and found it hard when up against Carroll before being substituted during the half-time break.

Elmohamady

Brought energy to the right flank, either as a wing back or full back after the restart. Brave header in 96th minute cleared danger.

Markovic 7

Busy and energetic in centre midfield before half-time and then on the wing. Played a huge role in City’s equaliser.

Clucas 7

Filled in the ‘Tom Huddlestone’ role and did well but was let down by some sloppy passing.

N’Diaye 6

Unfortunate to see a thunderous effort just before the hour crash against the post. Had more input after the break.

Robertson 7

Cool finish to bring City level made up for some wasteful passing in the first half had undermined plenty of energetic work as left wing back.

Niasse 6

Tireless running but little went right for the striker against a physical West Ham defence.

Hernandez 6

Clattered early on by Jose Fonte to earn the West Ham a booking and it took until the second half for the Uruguayan to make an impact before being substituted, no doubt through tired legs after plenty of travelling during the international break.

SUBSTITUTES

Grosicki (for Davies 46) 7

Created both City’s goals and was the catalyst for the second half fightback after coming on at the break.

Maloney (for N’Diaye 79) -

Won the late corner that led to City’s winner.

Henriksen (for Hernandez 79) -

Had a shot that he dragged wide from a tight angle.
