MORE than 60,000 Yorkshire football fans will descend on Wembley this Sunday as Hull City take on Sheffield United in the FA Cup semi-final.
The Blades were involved last time there was an all-Yorkshire tie at the same stage of the world’s most famous football cup competition 21 years ago, when they went down 2-1 to Steel City rivals Sheffield Wednesday.
In what will be only the fourth last-four game between White Rose clubs at this stage of the competiton, we will be inserting a free 20-page souvenir supplement in Friday’s The Yorkshire Post.
And, we couldn’t let the occasion pass without prioducing a special SportsTalk podcast, available to listen by pressing the PLAY button above.
Chief football writer Richard Sutcliffe and sports correspondent Leon Wobschall will both be at Wembley to cover every angle on the match for The Yorkshire Post but, before jumping into their all-expenses-paid, first-class seats on the train down to King’s Cross International, they first joined host Phil Harrison in the studio to discuss who is the team most likely to book a second trip to Wembley for the final.
Can Sheffield United cause yet another upset or will Premier League Hull have too much class for them on the day?
