ROSS McCormack has warned his old club Leeds are champing at the bit to build the momentum from their FA Cup win at Tottenham last week.

“We may be underdogs against Cardiff - as we were against Spurs - but we are at our best in that position,” said the Scotland striker.

“Cardiff won’t have it easy coming to Elland Road.”

Cardiff boss Malky Mackay, whose side could stretch their lead at the top of the standings back to 10 points with a win, echoed McCormack’s words.

“We have a real fight on our hands at Leeds, but that’s how it should be,” said Mackay.

“I’ve been to Elland Road a lot of times in my career and it’s a fantastic venue to go and play football in.

“Leeds United is a monster of a club and if you throw Neil (Warnock) into the mix as well you know you are have a real fight on your hands.”
