GUISELEY have confirmed that Adam Lockwood has been appointed as the club’s full-time manager.
Lockwood will be assisted by vastly-experienced former Doncaster Rovers manager Dave Penney.
Penney has won the National League twice, with Darlington and Doncaster Rovers and has Football League managerial experience at Bristol Rovers, Oldham, and Southend, and played over 400 games in the Football League.
On his appointment, Lockwood, 34, who replaces Mark Bower, told the YEP: “It is really positive for me to be named as manager and everyone is learning every day and trying to improve and I am no different to anyone.
“You have to work extremely hard and I have known that ever since I have been a player, but it has been good and I have enjoyed it and there’s a lot of good people around me which is very important and I would like to thank everybody who has helped me out and hopefully they will continue to do that.
“We will keep putting the effort in and improving.”
Meanwhile, former Lions boss Bower has taken over the reins at Conference North strugglers Bradford Park Avenue.
