Adam Lockwood's men, unbeaten in seven league games at home, still had time to earn all three points and Rankine buried Will Hatfield's pass seven minutes from time to claim his first goal since October and move Guiseley to within one point of their opponents in the table.

Bottom club York twice came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw at National League play-off hopefuls Dover.

Defender Jamie Grimes fired in via a post to put fifth-placed Dover ahead in the sixth minute, but Jon Parkin lashed home his first Minstermen goal following Simon Lappin's corner to level before the break.

Striker Parkin, on loan from Newport, rattled an upright from a tight angle early in the second period, before Ricky Miller restored the hosts' lead from the penalty spot after he was brought down by Shaun Rooney.

York, who had won just one of their last 19 league matches, were not to be denied a point though and Rooney made amends for conceding the penalty by heading in Sean Newton's deep free-kick 13 minutes from time.

Oliver Hawkins scored twice as Dagenham boosted their promotion hopes with a 4-0 thrashing of North Ferriby.

Forward Fejiri Okenabirhie produced a neat finish to put the visitors ahead with 15 minutes played at Grange Lane, before top-scorer Hawkins blasted in off the crossbar to double the advantage two minutes later.

Luke Guttridge put the result beyond doubt when he found the top corner of Rory Watson's net just before the interval.

A late goal from Nicky Boshell gave Bradford Park Avenue a 1-0 win at Worcester City, while FC Halifax Town - who had Danny Hone sent off - lost 1-0 at Stalybridge Celtic.
