Craig Robson headed home Corey Whitely’s corner after 17 minutes to set the Daggers on their way, before Whitely helped himself to his eighth goal of the season five minutes later with a precise strike from the edge of the box.

The hosts put the result beyond doubt before half-time, with Scott Garner deflecting Morgan Ferrier’s low cross into his own net in stoppage time.

Matty Brown headed a consolation for Halifax with 20 minutes remaining, but it was too late to stop Dagenham ending the visitors’ six-game unbeaten run.

Sam Wedgbury equalised for Wrexham deep into time added on to deny Guiseley their first away win of the season.

The midfielder struck when a hurried Guiseley clearance fell invitingly and Wedgbury volleyed home.

Raul Correia had given the visitors a surprise lead when he helped Will Hatfield’s deflected shot from distance over the goal line.

Kayode Odejayi should have doubled Guiseley’s lead but managed to head over from close range.
