Beckford in for pre-season training at Leeds United
LEEDS United's Jermaine Beckford expects to turn out for pre-season training next week, despite his transfer list status, it has been reported.
Beckford now expects to be involved in the early stages of United's close-season schedule after so far failing to attract a single bid from a rival club.
He has been on the transfer list at Elland Road for four weeks, following his rejection of a new contract.
Beckford has 12 months to run on his current deal and United will only allow him to leave if their asking price – thought to be a seven-figure sum – is met.
Several Championship managers are said to be interested in Beckford, but both Leeds manager Simon Grayson and chairman Ken Bates have suggested he could still play a part in the club's 2009-10 season.
