Bradford City 3 Barnet 3: Conlon double is not enough for Bantams
BARRY CONLON struck twice but a disputed late equaliser dashed City's hopes of climbing to the top of League Two.
Conlon shook off his super-sub tag to lead the line in a remarkable first period, but City faded badly after the break and Albert Adomah's 75th-minute leveller was the least Barnet deserved.
Goalkeeper Rhys Evans saved his side's blushes as early as the fifth minute when he pushed away John O'Flynn's shot after Tom Clarke's blunder.
Conlon showed his intent in the 10th minute when he headed home TJ Moncur's pin-point cross, but a comical mix-up between Moncur and Evans gifted the visitors an equaliser soon after when O'Flynn was left with an easy tap-in.
Peter Thorne restored the advantage after half-an-hour when he forced home Paul McLaren's free-kick but Barnet hit back within 60 seconds.
O'Flynn again eluded Clarke and although Evans did well to save Adomah's shot Barnet midfielder Nicky Nicolau fired in.
The Bantams quickly went back in front when Conlon controlled Moncur's through ball and drilled a shot home.
Barnet dominated the latter stages and the highly-rated Adomah got his reward 15 minutes from time when the referee's assistant ruled that his scuffed shot had crossed the line.
Evans produced the save of the match to tip away a deflected shot from Michael Leary.
