Doncaster Rovers face Paul Green reunion at Derby County
DONCASTER Rovers will be reunited with former midfielder Paul Green on the opening day of the season as they travel to relegated Derby County.
Green left Doncaster last month to team up with Paul Jewell's ambitious Championship outfit, despite helping Doncaster win the the League One play-off final.
Rovers' first game in the second tier for 50 years is at home to Cardiff on Saturday, August 16, and they travel to QPR seven days later, before hosting Coventry at the end of the first month.
Their first South Yorkshire derby sees Rovers at home to Sheffield United on Tuesday, September 30, and then they make the short journey to Oakwell four days later to take on Barnsley.
The return at the Keepmoat is at the end of October.
Rovers visit Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, November 8 and host the Owls on Saturday, February 14.
Doncaster travel to Nottingham Forest on Boxing Day and conclude their first season back in the Championship away at Wolves on Saturday, May 3.
