Leyton Orient 0 Huddersfield Town 2: Rhodes nets for Terriers

HUDDERSFIELD boss Lee Clark heaped praise on striker Theo Robinson after he stepped out of the shadows and played a major role in firing Huddersfield back into the promotion picture.

Robinson, given a rare start, capped a five-star show by hammering home his side's second goal on 68 minutes to set the seal on an excellent victory, after Jordan Rhodes had put the visitors ahead in the first half.

The win lifted Huddersfield to within two points of the play-off places and ended a run of three successive defeats.

Clark said: "You're always delighted when both your strikers get on the score sheet. I am delighted for Theo, his goals-to-start ratio must be fantastic."

Robinson, in for the injured Lee Novak, has netted seven league goals and Clark said: "For someone who has not started for so long, to show that energy and enthusiasm was fantastic."

Now the Huddersfield boss wants the 21-year-old striker to reproduce that form more often as the promotion race reaches its climax: "He has an unbelievable asset with his lightening pace, he just needs to show that all the time," said Clark.

The Huddersfield boss was also pleased with Rhodes: "I'm delighted for Jordan as well. He has taken a hell of a battering over the past few weeks," he said. "It's no secret I was trying to bring in a striker because I was down to just two lads and to maybe give Jordan a rest, but he looked very sharp, so maybe I was wrong."
