Phil Brown excited by fixture list
PHIL BROWN insists it will be business as usual as Hull City prepare for their first season of Premier League football.
Hull begin life as a top-flight outfit at home to Fulham on Saturday, August 16 before travelling to Ewood Park to take on Blackburn Rovers seven days later.
They finish August at the KC Stadium with Wigan Athletic the visitors.
The Tigers' first game against the top four comes on Saturday, August 27 away at Arsenal.
They then host Chelsea on Tuesday, October 28, and travel to Old Trafford to take on the champions of Europe four days later.
Hull visit Anfield on December 13 and are at Manchester City on Boxing Day.
Arsenal are the visitors on January 17 and Liverpool come to the KC Stadium on April 25.
Hull finish their season at home to Premier League and Champions League winners Manchester United on Sunday, August 24.
"I think we will prepare in the same way as we did last year," Brown said.
"We're taking the boys to a training camp so the preparation will be pretty similar.
"I'm trying to improve the ranks in terms of the quality of the squad."
With regards to playing Manchester United on the final day, Brown added: "It's a great fixture to have on the last day of the season, let's hope I'm still in a job.
"As far as we're concerned we're three weeks ahead of everybody, not three weeks behind, in terms of fitness.
"I think it's a fantastic way to get promoted and we're hopefully going to use that momentum at the start of the season."
