Preston North End v Sheffield United: Bunn adds to Blackwell's injury woes

SHEFFIELD United goalkeeper Mark Bunn is likely to be out for six weeks with a broken finger.

Veteran Ian Bennett will start tonight's game at Preston North End with Estonian international Mihkel Aksalu on the bench.

Bunn, on loan from Blackburn until the summer, suffered the injury during last weekend's 1-1 draw against Derby County and the results of a scan will be confirmed this morning.

His absence will be yet another blow for the Blades who have been crippled by injuries this season and who are without the services of first-choice Paddy Kenny due to a drugs ban

Manager Kevin Blackwell is set to complete the loan signing today of a Premier League centre-back. Blackwell said: "He is only a young lad, a development player, who comes with a good reputation."

Preston are poised to sign England Under-20 midfielder midfielder Matthew James on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season. He will go straight into their squad for tonight's game.

Last six games: Preston LLWWLL, Blades WLWLLD.

Last time: Preston 1 Blades 1; May 8, 2009; Championship play-off semi-final first leg.

Referee: EL Ilderton (Tyne & Wear).
