Tevez is missing for Stoke replay

Manchester City will be without Carlos Tevez for the fourth-successive game when they travel to Stoke for tonight's FA Cup fifth-round replay.

Tevez has been in Argentina on compassionate leave following the premature birth of his daughter, although manager Roberto Mancini has confirmed he expects the striker to return in time for Saturday's trip to Chelsea in the Premier League.

Stoke winger Matthew Etherington is in line for a shock return 11 days after fears he had suffered serious knee ligament damage.

Aston Villa have a doubt over captain Stiliyan Petrov (virus) to face Crystal Palace.

Tottenham will be without defender Ledley King (thigh) against Bolton.

Aaron Lennon has suffered a setback in his recovery from a groin problem. The Spurs winger – who had been recovering well from the problem he picked up in December – has undergone an MRI scan, and is set for an ultrasound to determine the full extent of any additional damage.

Notts County yesterday announced the club will avoid going into administration this season and named Steve Cotterill as their new manager.

York City's FA Carlsberg Trophy game at Barrow last night was frozen off.
