Peterborough United 3 Barnsley 2: Reversal of fortune on road for battling Tykes
After winning at Oldham at the weekend, revitalised Barnsley gave as good as they got in the first period and created the first clear opening after just six minutes when Marley Watkins nodded narrowly wide.
Lee Angol lashed a shot over the Tykes’ crossbar before he latched on to a loose ball in the penalty area and fired past Adam Davies.

Captain Alfie Mawson thought he’d headed Barnsley into the lead five minutes after the restart, only for his effort to be ruled offside.
Posh made it 2-1 in the 61st minute, with Addison nodding bravely home from close range and it became 3-1 when sustitute Marcus Maddison pounced with 17 minutes left.
Tykes sub Sam Winnall reduce the deficit after Adam Hammill had struck the post, but once loanee defender Kevin Long had been sent off for a foul on Harry Beautyman, the Reds couldn’t close the gap.
