Steve Evans hailed his Rotherham United side after they beat fellow promotion hopefuls Brentford at Griffin Park.
Mark Bradley grabbed the only goal of the contest for the Millers, who saw Matt Tubbs start as Daniel Nardiello was ruled out injured.
“I think it equals the best result in terms of league performance in all honesty, we had to battle hard, as they had a lot of possession,” said Evans.
“The biggest compliment I can give my team is that they haven’t made a chance, and the only save Scott Shearer has had to make of note was the one he’s done sensationally with that’s heading for the top corner from 30 yards.
“We’ve had a few chances in the second half on the counter-attack. We stayed 4-4-2 for as long as we could in the second half but they started to get a march on us; as soon as we changed it though we had a good spell in the game and the subs we made had a good impact.”
