Rotherham United have signed Danny Collins and Emmanuel Ledesma as they continue their recruitment for the new season.
Collins, 34, the former Nottingham Forest captain, is the Millers’ second signing in two days following the arrival of Ledesma - who spent time on loan at Rotherham from Middlesbrough last season – on Thursday.
Collins a wealth of experience to the Rotherham United rearguard and Millers boss Steve Evans is delighted to have captured him.
Evans said: “The opportunity to sign Danny came up after I became aware that he’d been in negotiations with two other Championship clubs and we met up with him and had a chat.
“His references were impeccable in terms of his fitness, hunger and desire it all shone like a beacon of light in the ocean and that attracted me to him.”
Rotherham signed Argentinian-born winger Ledesma, 27, after he was released by Middlesbrough.
“It goes without saying that I am delighted to bring someone with the ability of Manu back to the Millers,” said Evans.
