CHE Adams’s double and a clinical strike from Billy Sharp saw Sheffield United claim an impressive third successive league victory at Bramall Lane.
Adams, who graduated from the Blades’ youth academy, stabbed home after just 54 seconds, the 19-year-old’s left-footed shot flying into the bottom left corner to give the home team the perfect start.
Then Adams bagged a second goal shortly after the hour mark as the on-song Blades claimed their seventh league win of the season.
Nigel Adkins’s charges held all the aces in the opening exchanges, with Matt Done having an effort blocked just after the start.
Then Adams showed brilliant movement to lose his marker and tap-in at the front post to delight the home supporters.
And it got even better as the Blades delivered in stylish fashion in the second half as Adams made it seven goals for the season and impressive five goals in his last four games.
The talented teenager collected a pass from Kieran Wallace and hit the back of the net again to virtually secure the points.
But the victory was completed eight minutes later as Sharp fired home from close-range, with Wallace again involved – his seventh goal of the season and first goal in five games.
