Carlos Carvalhal mulling over FA misconduct charge

SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY boss Carlos Carvalhal has until 6pm on Thursday to answer a charge of misconduct over his dismissal from the dugout in his side's 2-0 defeat at Aston Villa.

The Portuguese was sent to the stands shortly after half-time for leaving his technical area when protesting against Vincent Sasso’s red card.

Carvalhal, whose side will drop out of the play-offs if Fulham beat Blackburn Rovers tomorrow night, was incensed by the decision.

He is the third Yorkshire manager to be charged with misconduct by the FA in a little over a month, David Wagner being hit with two charges and Garry Monk one following the stormy end to Huddersfield’s derby win over Leeds.

Wagner was subsequently banned from the touchline for two games, double the punishment meted out to Monk by the governing body.
