Rebuilding Sheffield Wednesday have strengthened further today with the signing of experienced Scottish winger Ross Wallace.

New head coach Carlos Carvalhal has already overseen the signings of attacking midfielder Marco Matias from Portuguese club Nacional for a fee in the region of £2m on Wednesday, while Spanish midfielder Alex Lopez from Celta Vigo is expected to join on loan.

Wales international goalkeeper Lewis Price has also joined the club on a one-year deal.

Now former Burnley wideman Wallace has signed a one-year deal.

The Scot, who has one cap for his country, has played for Celtic, Sunderland, Preston and latterly Burnley in the Premier League last season.
