Sheffield Wednesday are understood to have agreed a deal to sign Slovenia international Nejc Pecnik after a successful trial at the club.
The attacking midfielder is set to sign a one-year deal with the Hillsborough outfit, with the option for a further year.
Pecnik, who will join from Portuguese side Nacional, spent time training with the Owls this week.
He will bolster manager Dave Jones’ attacking options as Wednesday prepare for their return to the second tier.
The midfielder, capped 15 times for Slovenia, is set to become Jones’ seventh recruit of the summer as the boss reshuffles his squad ahead of the new campaign.
