Stirling-born Kingsley, capped once by Scotland, has spent three years with Swansea after initially joining from Falkirk as a teenager - and has had loan spells at Yeovil Town and Crewe.

The arrival of Toral would provide a badly-needed attacking option for Hull, with Abel Hernandez out with a long-term injury.

The 22-year-old has spent the last three years on loan at different clubs including Brentford, Birmingham, Granada and Rangers.

United are also interested in Middlesbrough’s Rudy Gestede, but Boro appear unwilling to do business.

Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani has pledged to re-invest proceeds from Wood’s sale into the squad, with Holland Under-19 international Grot , who played 20 times for the Dutch side last season and scored five goals, having emerged as one target.

Wood has joined Burnley for an initial £15m, a sum which could rise to £18m with add-ons.

Middlesbrough are close to wrapping up the £2.5m signing of Birmingham City defender Ryan Shotton, but are bracing themselves for further interest in winger Adama Traore.

French club Lille are the latest club being strongly linked, with Chelsea also having a long-standing interest in the 21-year-old, who joined from Aston Villa just under 12 months ago.

Should Traore leave, Boro are likely to pursue a loan deal to attempt to bring Liverpool winger Ryan Kent to the Riverside.
