YORK CITY slipped to a 3-1 loss at League Two hosts Barnet, just when the Minstermen thought they had done enough to salvage a draw.
John Akinde fired the Bees into a 59th-minute lead but Michael Coulson levelled for York with ten minutes to go.
Yet Michael Gash immediately put the hosts back in front two minutes later and the points were sealed when Josh Clarke struck in the 90th-minute of his debut.
An angry Russ Wilcox blasted: “Nowhere near good enough in a nutshell, the second half performance.
“I thought the first half was even. But the second half we conceded a soft goal, got ourselves back in the game and throw it all away within two minutes.
“It’s unacceptable and not good enough. I feel for the York fans again.”
