SELBY’S Megan Garland lies equal sixth after two rounds of the British ladies’ open amateur stroke play championship at Moortown GC.
She leads a handful of Yorkshire players who made it through to the final 36 holes, which will be played on Friday.
Garland (76 72) is just four shots adrift of halfway leader Aditi Ashok, of India, who carded 71 73 for a four-under-par aggregate.
Selby player Garland had five birdies in her first 10 holes on her way to her two-under-par 72.
Hickleton’s Alison Knowles is in a share of 15th after two consecutive rounds of 75. She was one under going out with the aid of two birdies, but another pair of inward birdies were strangled by two double bogeys.
Woodsome Hall’s Rochelle Morris is tied 22nd (78 74) as is another Selby competitor, Ellie Goodall (75 77).
Morris went out in one over 39 and came back in one under with the help of three birdies.
Goodall had five bogeys and two birdies in her 77, as did Cleckheaton’s Olivia Hamilton in tacking on a 77 to her opening 77 to lie in a share of 32nd place.
